The sessions were insightful and provided information that can be used to improve financing in the agricultural sector. Islamic banking removes some stereotypes I had about Islamic funding.
The session was worthwhile and the topics well delivered, being a participant at the event makes a lot of sense to me.

Welcome2Africa International (W2A) was founded upon the initial vision to redefine the image of Africa, and this is because growing up in the United Kingdom in the 1990s, I found the image of Africa plagued with negativity. And whilst there are indeed challenges associated with the business, investment, and trade opportunities in Africa, one cannot deny the enormous potential that exists in Africa ranging from infrastructure, telecoms, minerals, education, and Agriculture. Now more than ever-greater innovation and investments is essential to meet Africa’s unfulfilled demand for goods and services, close the gaps in infrastructural development, create jobs, decrease poverty, and create viable returns for investors.
At W2A, we recognize the challenges associated with accessing the array of trade and investment opportunities. Some of the challenges include; the negative perception of Africa, lack of industry data for investment and trade analysis, and lack of credible vetted deal flow.
To support our global evolving network and to bridge the trade and investment gap, W2A actively seeks to bring investment opportunities to the attention of investors, donors, fund managers, family offices, foundations, and multinationals. Since 2015, we have hosted a number of investment conferences in strategic cities around the world, including Luxembourg, Accra, Lagos, Abuja, Frankfurt, Belgium, Netherlands, and London. Our conferences have provided a mechanism to exchange business interests, information, and facilitate trade and investment opportunities into and across Africa
